Unplugged

One problem that has been plaguing my trip is finding a power source to connect to. To this day, countries have been unable to agree on a standard form factor for plug sockets. Europeans (British, as usual, stand aside) go for round heads while Americans go for flat heads.

European on the left, USA on the right. Will they ever mingle?
And when Australians and British come into play, things gets very complicated. So complicated, in fact, that I need to carry at all times around 20 meters of various cables. Which gives my trip a feel of South Africa in the 50s.

And then, upon arriving in Brazil, I saw this:

How difficult was that, really?
How simple. I have finally found my ideal plug socket.
That's it for this tale of love and understanding. A tale with a happy ending, that happened to me right here in Brazil. It is, after all, normal - Brazil is a country were differences blend in one magnificent population, teeming with diversity and a lesson to the rest of the world on the absurdity of racial feuds. Why would you hate your brethren for their differences? You know, stiff economic inequalities do a perfectly fine job of pitting us against one another.
